Tamworth: The City
You will find Tamworth in the New England region of New South Wales, about 450 kilometres north west of Sydney and 575 kilometres south west of Brisbane. Tamworth is most famous for it's annual event; The Country Music Festival and is known as the Country Music Capital of Australia (although locals have come to know this time as time to get away for a few weeks). Tamworth was also the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to begin using electric street lights.
